Dr. Hao-Chung Kuo
Dr. Hao-Chung Kuo has more than 20 years of applied research and experience in materials, optoelectronic devices, and laser technology for III-V high-speed semiconductors (GaAs, InP, GaN, etc.). Since 2004, Dr. Kuo has been working on the research of high-efficiency optoelectronic semiconductor devices, especially on the improvement of diode efficiency droop, and has successfully fabricated the world’s first electrically excited GaN VCSEL, which has opened up the field of GaN VCSEL related research. Dr. Kuo has received many international awards and recognitions and has received fellowships from OSA, IET, SPIE, IEEE, and IAAM from 2012 to 2021. In addition, he has published more than 500 international journals and 300 international symposium papers with more than 21,000 citations and an H-index of 64, 37 domestic and foreign patents, and 4 books. He has also served as the Chairman of IEEE/Photonics Taipei Section, Guest Editor of IEEE JSTQE, and Associate Editor of OSA/IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology and OSA Photonics Research.
Recent Progress For Wide Bandgap Semiconductor For Electric Vehicles (EV)
